(An Education Programme for the underprivileged)

OUR AIM AND FOCUS

The Aim of DPS Maruti Shiksha Kendra is to bring about 30 near by villages under the scheme of “DPS MARUTI SHIKSHA KENDRA “- an education programme for the underprivileged. A meeting of the “Pradhans was convened on 23rd October, 2001 at DPS MARUTI KUNJ to give initial momentum to this noble Project and workout further programs.

TO BEGIN WITH

The school started initially with that is preschool, Class 1 & 2. The Children Are screened and selected as per their Family background. 1st preference is given to children of “below poverty Line (BPL) “Families. The Size of the classes is one section each class with maximum of 30 children.

INFRASTUCTURE

The Maruti Shiksha Kendra Functions from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the primary wing and use the existing facilities. Therefore, no additional facilities are required.

STAFF, CURRICULAM AND MEDIUM

Initially, 4 Teachers+1 In charge of secondary Level, One Adm. Staff and 4 Supporting Staff. The services of the Existing Staff are taken on voluntary basis. The “National Open School Curriculum” is followed in Hindi Medium, involving Greater emphasis on vocationalisation

FINANCE

Since we shall be using existing infrastructure, the will be no financial burden on the school. An approx. Separate Budget  has been sanctioned for providing books and stationary, uniforms and conveyance to staff. WE may also generate some funds or get some areas sponsored. However, The Meet has also agreed to support this project.

START OF SESSION

The Ground work was completed by the second week of November, 2001 and the project was inaugurated during the 3rd week of November, 2001. The classes started from 26th November, 2001 in the Afternoon (1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
